Jasper, FL, March 25, 2021— Green Point Hemp, an international phytocannabinoid-rich biomass originator and processor, received its hemp food establishment permit from Florida’s Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services this month. In order to receive the permit, the company was required to submit approved accurate documentation and undergo thorough sanitation inspections.
Any establishment that manufactures, processes, packs, holds, prepares or sells food consisting of or containing hemp extract intended for human ingestion is considered a hemp food establishment and is required to have a food establishment permit from the Division of Food Safety to operate in Florida.
As of March 31, 2021, the FDACS website link listing the food establishment permittees includes fewer than 20 organizations categorized as processors.
This permit allows the company to utilize its newly opened Cannabis Center of Excellence (CCoE) campus to pursue additional opportunities within the supply chain.
