September 3, 2020 — Fort Lauderdale, FL – Green Point Research (GPR), an international phytocannabinoid-rich hemp biomass originator and processor, is excited to announce the acquisition of new hemp drying technology and equipment, allowing the company to become the largest scale and fastest hemp drying service in Florida.

“As more farmers enter the industrial hemp market, the need for large-scale hemp drying operations increases to handle market demand,” David Hasenauer, CEO of Green Point Research. “In order to support farmers with limited options to dry their hemp, this new drying service capability provides them with a controlled and efficient system that can operate on a massive scale.”

Green Point Research can impact the industrial hemp industry in Florida through the superior scale it is able to provide through drying services. Most of the current drying technology being advertised to farmers is currently used to dry peanuts and berries, which can only dry an acre of hemp per day.  Green Point Research can now dry greater than an acre (4 input tons) per hour. The scale and efficiency will increase the supply chain’s speed, allowing for greater scalability in the market.

The superior dryer design integrates hammer mills so that the hemp plants can be ground into a consistent particle size for maximum CBD extraction. GPR is currently the only company in Florida with a drying capacity of over 5 tons of hemp per hour. The material can then  be packaged in GPR’s recently announced industrial hemp bulk bags in partnership with Palmetto Industries with a single bag storage capacity of over 500 pounds.

“The acquisition of the hemp drying equipment is an exemplar of the company’s steadfast commitment in large-scale strategic technology investments expected to exponentially increase capacity for the company and its partner farmers alike ,” said Matt Turner, Chief Science Officer of Green Point Research. “We are pleased to have the opportunity to work with such a great team of professionals at Green Point Research who will utilize the equipment to help farmers grow their potential,” said Chuck Lepinski, President and CEO of LPS Equipment Company.

GPR launched its Farmers First initiative to further demonstrate its commitment to farmers. Its investment in superior technology and equipment to better assist farmers in entering and scaling in the industrial hemp industry exemplifies its continued support. As a valued partner to in-network farmers, GPR also provides services such as hemp storing, co-marketing, and consulting in hemp farming best practices.
