The Future of Industrial Hemp Information Flyer

Green Point Research’s CEO, David Hasenauer, presented in The Future of Industrial Hemp online event hosted by Cannabis Lab. The panel also included Kent Dunston, CEO, Green Stone; David Kline, subject matter expert and Kentucky grower; Mark Jansheshki, a licensed Florida general contractor, Jeff Greene, VP of Marketing for The Florida Hemp Council and Amanda Barton, CLAB CoPresident.

Hasenauer discussed the fundamental demands related to hemp building materials alongside current positive drivers for the industry at-large.

Industrial hemp has uses in both commercial and residential building including fiber board, insulation, fiberglass substrate, cement, carpet, stucco and mortar. The implications for hemp in commercial construction and industrial use are abundant. In many cases, using hemp, a bioderived material, results in more sustainable solution.

The population growth and housing demands will ultimately require a change with existing construction materials. Hemp could provide a 1:1 replacement as the core fiber in industrial hemp can be used for hempcrete and insulation.
